new life in new state

I don't really mean to writing this post at this time, I logged in my account, my own page popped up. Yes, I moved to a new place for school, I am out of south cozy in my new room @ Oregon...

How I like here so far? It is complicated, for sure I will like it in the future, at this moment, I am homesick most of time, I miss Arkansas so bad... I am going to look forward anyway, to be more positive, I believe God has His plan for me this time. So I decide to list pros and cons to let you guys know things flying around in my mind these days...

+1. Sale tax free in Oregon, lol, this is on the top my list, you don't have to pay for sale tax in OR, it take me 3 day get used to pay exact amount showing on the price tag(then I gone for a road trip to SF, I missed OR so bad...CA tax is somehow like AR, 8.xxx...but better than TN)

+2. Full service gas station, imagine you are driving in a cold and rainy day, you need get out of your car standing in the cold rain for 5 minutes get your tank filled up... That is not going to happen in Oregon, based on the state law, in order to creating some position which doesn't require a lot of degree and also for the safety and health concern, state of oregon decide keep the full service gas station

+3. Healthy Eating Environment, yay for whole food, trader joe's and new seasons, I finally live in a place where have the health food store around. I cannot imagine how I can drive an hour and more to go whole food in another state...Yes, this is west coast, no more fry pickle, no more greasy southern food though I miss them a lot...

-1 Traffic in Portland, it sucks compare w/ my 5 min drive to school in AR... and the road there are so curvy and hilly, I cannot speed like what I did before... There are so many one way at school, I mess up almost twice a day...

-2 People, hmm, it is complicated issue, some of them are really nice, some of them are not... I was hoping people here will be more like people living in NYC, it is wrong, they are not that fast, they do not talk slowly, they do not act so dumb, however, some of them are not matching my level of metro area effective speed...

-3 Weather, yep, my in-law somehow thought we rain like 300 a year, it is definitely not that many however, it rain a lot...I am currently preparing for that... Thanks someone for a coat, that definitely helps the dress code being an oregonian=)

I think my sleep medicine start working, bed time...nite,xoxo

V-day n' Love

My Valentines day, well, I can see myself hit to the gym then library... as normal as it gonna be! Yeah, love birds everywhere, when I visited one of my local store at night, there were tons of heart shape ballon spread on the roof top. OMG, it boots the economic like ASAP, you will see guys checked out rose and cake w/ kinda mandatory face like (Am I supposed to do it?)... I was hoping that some day my guy can bring to build-a- bear factory, and we can pick up cute clothes and build a Hello Kitty together, he would give a kiss to the heart then putting into the kitty,(I did it to another kitty cat earlier), by times, my "teen dream" kinda gonna...

This is what I learned from Church sunday morning, we were talking about fellowship and love. Yes, love can be rational emotion, when I got drunk before, I can say "I love you" to anyone. Love is the emotion, which drive you crazy and make you laugh next second.  But for the christian, love is not an emotion, it is the choice. If we take our sin, measure w/ what He did to wash the sin away. How great the love was that? Did He do it emotionally? Or he made the choice dead for us?

If you admit that love is choice, then applying them to your husband, your partner, your family and your kids, what gonna happen? As for me, I did struggle w/ the relationship problem, I thought love should be in certain way like how I did certain way to worship God, however it turns out I was totally wrong. I made a standard in my mind, set up the rules like how many time you should call me a week, things to do to celebrate the special days... I asked myself when I found out it was so worthless doing such silly things that did God ever set up a standard for us or told us worship me in certain way? Eventually I found out my answer form the Bible, Colossians 3:18 said "Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord". I got this versus when I was crying by ending a not happy conversation w/ him, then I stopped crying and called him again by simply saying I am sorry but I love you... since God sent you as the gift, what's more I can do? Love you, it is emotion but it is the choice!

For my family, I love them to death. But there will be some issue between me and my mom, we always ended up w/ not really a happy ending. I would normally be a rebellion instead of simply love by obeying them. Recently, we had conversion about daily stuff, and God suddenly showed me about how stupid I was! People naturally have a selfness heart when it comes their personal issue, me either! I can either choice to love and obey them or I will be "so claimed" love them still being the rebellion!  I made my choice, the choice to love as God love me, as how I want to love my God!

Happy Valentine's day to everyone, this is my hand-made vday gift for me and everyone!

My Target Favor 1

I mentioned on my 1st post that I am big fan of Target, why? I visited Target Addict another, the owner of the blog inspired me on my shopping habit a lot. I was a big brandy fan, I would shop for label instead of style, it hurts my bank account really bad! After the visiting I figured out that you can be IN w/o hurting your wallet.

The Tucker collection

I picked up 3 items from this collection. To be honest, I didn't know who Tucker was when I knew that they were going to launch the collection. After the look-book came out, it did impress me for the pattern and cut. This independent new york base designer do has her talent on the shape and the color, without under the high-end reputation.

I checked out this butterfly shirt with the flora dress which appeared on their in-store ad, as I was preparing my trip looks at that time. The tag price was not really bad, around 30-35 bucks! I wore them while a shopping trip to a Bottega Veneta boutique @ downtown  Chicago, people there seems like my look although things afterward was not a happy shopping experience!

The best thing living in Arkansas is people there don't really care about what is going on in the fashion world. They won't act as crazy as people living in big city, those who line up for new collection. By the way, I would line up for Lanvin for H&M if I was in Beijing at that time. Target would put the new stuff on clearance rack about a month after, normally designer collection will gone immediately as the high demand in big city. However for a small town in Arkansas, you can always waiting until they showing up w/ clearance label on them, especially for xs and s! I spotted this skirt on 75% area, it was a size one which no one ever bought them home then return them back! I did not mean to hurt anyone, it was just my size, fit perfectly. Checked it out,why not? I wore this one w/ my butterfly shirt for my degree defense, I think it gets a little bit porf looking, what do you think?

The Mulberry collection

The mulberry collection first launch w/ Tucker @ Gilt, they sold out like 1o minute after they came out!
I was so addicted kinda british look, but I didn't want to spend my pay check on any Mulberry item at that time. I have to admit that they were really on time! Some blogger posted the some bags as they arriving to the store earlier than they were supposed to be. So I checked one of them on their original tag price, although they finally fall to the clearance catalog, I did not regret for my decide. This one is the right size for my iPad and my textbook, I always take it to school! It is just so handle!

My next one was on the clearance area, it marked 50% down. It called "blue jeans" color, personally, the  looks like Lady Dior in Shanghai Blue, I tried that bag @ SAKS in Chicago, it gives kinda formal look and the price...yall know, as for Dior, it is totally a different ballpark... Probably because the mulberry style with Dior color plus clearance, the little one stay in my closet now=)

1st time blogger Jenny

I was thinking get a blog for a long time as everyone at that time had one, for some reasons, I just didn't see a reason to be a blogger. Yep, about me Jenny, I used to be a crazy college kid tried to be fit in everywhere, party, shopping, hanging out, study(duh...I am a Chemistry Nerd)... I worked my ass off to achieve my little American Dream, TOEFL(huh...) GRE(it sucked so bad)... Now I am, Jonesboro Arkansas, the United State of America!

Don't be silly thinking that Arkansas is too natural to live, matter of fact, I've survived for 2 years (Btw, I came from Beijing China)! We have everything for fun except alcohol since we are dry county! But we do have Target in town, I am so grateful about that as I do most my local shopping there, you will know later that how much I love that store. And I am big fan of brandy although most of them are so pricey, I will get them only if my bank account really can afford them at that time or I get a fat pay check. However, since I saved by my Lord last year, the skin deep fashion will no longer be my first priority. Praise my Lord, live my life for God!

The reason for this blog it is more than showing my life as people live in Arkansas... I live, laugh and love... I love my family and my friend and my Lord... It is hard to find the balance among things, but God will guide me to do things which he has planned for me...

Hope yall enjoy this blog

XOXO
